Apple News is a stock iOS app that keeps you updated on the latest news from your favorite sources. You can subscribe to various channels related to tech, politics, fashion, entertainment and more, and receive instant notifications when new stories are published.
Notifications from Apple News help you stay updated on the latest information, but what if you don’t want to receive any notifications from a specific news source? Luckily, Apple provides an option to disable notifications for certain channels. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to do it.
Apple Music Not Working On Mac
Step 1: Open the News app on your iOS device.
Step 2: Switch to the Favorites tab, located at the bottom of the app.
Step 3: Tap on the notifications icon in the top left corner.
Step 4: Here you’ll find a list of all the news sources you’ve subscribed to. To disable notifications for a specific source, turn off the toggle next to it.
Step 5: Press the Done button in the top right corner of the app.
Now you will no longer receive any notifications from the news sources that you toggled off. If you later on intend to change this, you can follow the same steps as above and turn on the toggle for the channels of your choice.
If you want to completely disable notifications from Apple News, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2: Scroll down a little and tap on News.
Step 3: Open Notifications.
Step 4: Here you’ll find all the settings related to customizing the notifications from Apple News. To disable it completely, turn off the toggle for Allow Notifications.
That’s it! After doing this, you will not receive any notifications from Apple News. If you want to re-enable notifications, follow the same steps as above and turn on the toggle for Allow Notifications.
